Ana Montes

She is a writer, painter, and holds a degree in Communications from the University of Buenos Aires, as well as a master’s in Creative Writing from the National University of Tres de Febrero. In 2019, she was a finalist at the Bienal de Arte Joven with her debut novel Poco frecuente, published that same year. In 2021, she received a Creation Grant from the National Fund for the Arts to complete her second book, Meditación Madre (2022). She teaches writing workshops and curates the reading series “Quiero estar entre tus cosas” at Soria. As a visual artist, she has participated in both solo and group exhibitions. In 2024, La flamenca was a finalist for the Las Yubartas Hispano-American Narrative Prize, and the previous year, for the “Todos los tiempos el tiempo” Emerging Writers Award granted by PROA, the Bunge and Born Foundation, and La Nación.
