Gabriela Larralde

Gabriela Larralde was born in Buenos Aires in 1985. She is a writer, researcher, and university professor. She has published the poetry collections Las cosas que pasaron (2013), Lo que el agua promete (2017), and La trama materna (2020); children’s books such as Bestiario secreto de niñas malas (2018, Planeta Junior), Mi mamá es un pañuelo (2020), La vida ahora (Planeta, 2020), and Pandilla (2023); and the essays Diversidad y género en la escuela (Paidós, 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022) and Los mundos posibles (2014). As a screenwriter, she co-wrote the film Elena sabe, the series Monzón, and the animated show Petit, among other projects. For the past ten years, she has organized the poetry series Rumiar Buenos Aires. In 2022, the manuscript of this novel received the Todos los tiempos el tiempo Writing Encouragement Award, granted by Fundación Proa, Fundación Bunge y Born, and the newspaper La Nación.
