A stab wound to the abdomen seriously wounds Agent Vincent Hamilton. In this emergency, his colleagues try to expedite an evacuation to get him to the hospital, where he is treated by Dr. Violeta Galeno, who spends enough time with her patient to ensure he is still alive. Although Vincent
appreciates Dr. Galeno’s kindness, he has no intention of staying in the hospital. As best he can, and behind the medical staff’s back, he rips out his IV, gets dressed, and is driven in his friend Nathan’s van to his family’s
home to hide out. It is not long before Zoe (his sister), Arthur (his father), and Norah (his mother) find him tipsy and badly wounded, and because of Vincent’s rebelliousness, they all stand guard to prevent him from
getting away again.
Given Vincent’s delicate state, Norah and Arthur seek a full-time nurse to care for their son. To the agent’s surprise, the person they hire is none other than Dr. Galeno, whose contract at the hospital ended early since she was temporarily replacing another doctor on leave. Captivated by the
generosity of the Hamiltons and amused by Vincent’s insolence, Violet is ready to accept this new job, even though the patient is not too happy about his family treating him like a child. What will happen to the Agent and the Doctor now that life has caused their paths to cross again?
